Our client is a FTSE250 investment trust with its own independent professional services business, and it is looking to grow its legal team with the recruitment of Legal Counsel. Candidates are expected to be 1 - 4 years' PQE.
Our client has 250 staff based in the UK, Ireland, Channel Islands, the USA, and Asia. Responsible, flexible, and forward thinking, they always put their clients' needs first. Clients include large corporations, law firms, banks or funds, private equity, SMEs, hedge funds, start-ups, and private clients. Therefore, this is a very busy role, where you'll be working in a team of 3.
Candidates will be expected to do the following duties but are not limited to:
- Review commercial contracts and related queries across all business lines of the group
- Review and standardise terms of business across the group
- Free drafting and drafting from precedents, a variety of legal and commercial documents, including agreements, side letters, contracts
- Responsibility for data protection-related queries
Candidates are expected to be 1 - 4 years' PQE and likely come from a Regulatory or TMT background. Salary for the role is negotiable but expected to be around £80,000 base salary. It isn't a necessity to come from an In-house background, but it would be advantageous.
