Criminal Duty Solicitor

Due to succession planning, a role has arisen for a Criminal Solicitor to join a reputable firm. This full-time role will be based in the firm’s Worcester office, and with the current person dropping down to three days a week they are keen for a swift appointment to cover the Police Station and Duty slots.
Our client is friendly, flexible, and quick to champion people for progression right through to Partnership. They are now seeking a Duty Solicitor with upwards of three years’ experience to join them.
The successful Duty Solicitor will join a busy department and manage a caseload of general crime matters.
Day-to-day duties will vary, and include:
- Providing advice at court and police stations
- File preparation and reviews for magistrates and crown court cases
- Advocacy in the magistrate’s court for trials
- Bail applications
- Remand hearings
There will be secretarial support available and there may be a need to travel to other office locations.
