Our client is looking to expand its high performing and market leading team in Manchester that continues to win increasingly exciting and lucrative opportunities. The firm is keen to engage with lawyers who have an interest or experience in M&A (Public and Private), Private Equity, Capital Markets work and/or structured Real Estate.
Successful candidates will have a track record of working on transactions of this nature which is appropriate for their seniority, and will have the opportunity to work alongside a number of partners on a range of mandates, for a wide range of clients. The firm has a strong reputation for nurturing its talent, providing a supportive and stretching environment with excellent prospects for career development. Many of the team's partners were promoted to that role having joined the team post-qualification.
There is a strong culture of support and collaboration and, as a member of the team, you will be encouraged to contribute to business and practice development activities. You can also be expected to be involved in the supervision and development of other team members.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
You should have gained at least two years' experience in corporate transactional roles in order to have gained the range of skills and expertise required for the position and a strong grounding in company law and corporate transactional work. This experience should ideally have been gained in a major national, international, City or equivalent firms, but applicants from other backgrounds will be considered if they can demonstrate the required level of corporate transactional experience.
You will also have:
- The ability to actively support multiple complex transactions, liaising and coordinating with fee earners from other relevant disciplines as needed
- Strong team skills, thriving in a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment, with like-minded people
- A strong service ethos to meet the demands of top flight clients on challenging and rewarding deals
