Our client is a Legal 500 firm based in Reading, Berkshire who is seeking a Senior Associate. The firm is offering genuine prospects to Partnership to join the successful Employment team.
The firm is offering work which will involve dealing with a mixed caseload of contentious and non-contentious issues acting for some claimant but mostly respondent clients.
In the main you will be drafting claim and response forms, witness statements and legal submissions and conducting negotiations on behalf of clients. You will also be advocating in tribunal, advising on or working as part of a team regarding restructuring, TUPE transfers and/or other major client projects including across jurisdictions.
You will be given the opportunity to be involved with the firms excellent reputation with industrial relations and trade union work. You will therefore be exposed to some challenging employee engagement and restructuring projects.
The ideal candidate will have have a minimum of 7+ years experience ideally from a recognised London or regional practice, good contract employment law skills and knowledge, and a strong academic record (2.1 degree is a minimum requirement).
An interest in marketing and business development is key and experience in handling business visas for clients would be an advantage.
