This niche commercial practice are recruiting into their established employment team in Exeter.
You will be joining a small team of excellent lawyers who handle mainly respondent matters on behalf of employers. These clients include SMEs across the South West, South East and nationally. You will also advise on corporate support work.
Although they are a smaller practice, this firm compete with the much larger law firms that you will have heard of and perhaps are working for. They find clients often prefer their tailored service, and over time they have developed an excellent client base.
You will ideally have at least 7-8 years' experience within employment law. You will likely already be at Senior Associate level and be looking to progress to partnership in the near future.
To compliment your experience you should also have a client following, or at least be able to attract previous/new clients once in this new role and your restrictive covenants have lapsed.
Joining this firm will be very different! You will retain a high quality caseload. All your colleagues here have come from top UK law firms and are experts in their field. They have enjoyed their time at larger firms, but wanted to explore something different and more niche, yet still with very good quality work.
You will enjoy a more relaxed environment with trust from the team and partners, who are on hand every step of the way.
You will not have high billing targets, or be required to stay at work until midnight! Work life balance is encouraged here, as is agile/home working, but this is not a 100% home working role. You will be required to be in the office for meetings and colleague catch ups as and when. It could be very different from what you are used to.
