This is initially a 12-month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave, however, in all probability, this employment law solicitor role will continue as a permanent position at the end of the initial period.
This is an award-winning firm with a high-profile, Chambers rated Employment Law Team. The caseload will be mainly respondent work, together with some high-value claimant work on behalf of national clients, large PLCs right down to owner-managed businesses.
This Newark-based role would suit an advocate with a very strong background in Employment Law who (for whatever reason) may be happy to work for a firm this way.
As the employment law solicitor, you should have excellent client care skills, strong research, drafting and negotiating skills and the ability to put yourself in your client's shoes.
You will need experience in both respondent and claimant work, with an excellent grasp of all aspects of Employment Law, and will manage a full caseload to match your client's expectations.
This employment law solicitor role is based in Newark, although you should also be able to commute between offices should the firm need.
Applications from relocators will be considered, however you should be able to demonstrate a commitment to live and work in the East Midlands and the East of England.
