Due to the continued growth of the employment client base, a new employment lawyer role has arisen within a leading Legal 500 firm at the flagship head office in Northampton.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced legal executive or solicitor with 3+ years' PQE having gained experience in reviewing and amending employment contracts and consultancy contracts, reviewing HR policies and staff handbooks, advising on HR matters including performance management, absence management, disciplinary processes, grievance processes and procedures, equality act matters, and anti-compete issues.
As the employment lawyer, you will also have exposure to management of employment litigation including unfair dismissal, discrimination and restrictive covenants. Advising on all aspects of TUPE, redundancy and reorganisation including consultation processes, risk areas, varying terms and conditions and also advising on settlement agreements.
You will be working closely with the firm's Head of Employment who manages a caseload of mainly respondent employment law matters and will also be operating alongside a Legal 500 Corporate Commercial Team. You will ideally have exposure to fee-earning within the above-mentioned matters and also some exposure assisting senior lawyers and partners with high-value claimant and respondent work.
