Our client is a Chambers listed established, successful and progressive 20 Partner law firm. They have provided specialist legal services to the farming community and to others involved with agricultural land.
Situated in the heart of the Thames Valley where agriculture remains a key and fundamental part of the local economy, the farming group advises a large number of clients on agricultural, rural, commercial and development issues affecting their businesses. This includes specialist advice on the structure of such businesses and succession planning.
The firm is based in Reading and is seeking a recently qualified agricultural property solicitor to specialise in agricultural property matters. You will have completed a decent property seat during your training contract and will have the opportunity to join our clients busy and highly respected Farming & Estates department. You will also assist more senior fee earners as well as managing your own caseload.
The agricultural property solicitor will be responsible for matters including:
- acquisitions and disposals of agricultural land
- tenancy issues
- succession planning
- partnerships and other structures
- telecoms leases/agreements
- planning and development
- single payment scheme entitlements and stewardship schemes
- grazing licences
- easements and wayleaves.
This exciting opportunity based in Reading will enable the successful candidate to assist in promoting, developing and marketing the Farming & Estates Department.
