I currently have an exciting opportunity for a qualified solicitor to join a leading employment law team at their York office.
Providing services predominantly to business clients, the employment team provides expert support throughout a range of matters from day to day contracts, policies and procedures to more complex issues such as employment tribunals, redundancy, TUPE transfers and discrimination matters.
The successful employment solicitor will support clients on the full range of employment matters, providing both commercially focused and results driven advice.
You will be advising on day to day employment issues such as contracts, disciplinary and grievance matters. Absence management and settlement agreements will form a key part of the role, and the ability to do this with consistently high levels of quality and client service is fundamental.
Experience of supporting clients throughout the full employment tribunal process is desirable.
Candidates with experience in managing claims from initial enquiry through to hearing, along with the ability to develop effective case strategies, will stand out. Advocacy experience would be a benefit but is not essential.
The role is most likely to suit an experienced fee earner at around 2-6 years' PQE, though candidates outside of this will be considered.
