A great opportunity has arisen for a commercial litigation solicitor with strong prior experience of civil fraud and injunction work to join this highly regarded Legal 100 firm in central London. The firm is top tier ranked in the Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners for Commercial Litigation in London.
The firm acts for clients across a variety of sectors and has particular expertise in relation to banking and other financial services litigation. They are often able to bring claims against banks, hedge funds and other financial institutions or FTSE 250 companies where other law firms are conflicted.
They frequently advise corporates and professional individuals subject to claims arising from alleged breaches of their regulatory obligations, for example, those imposed by the Financial Conduct Authority.
The firm also regularly assists with trust litigation as well as issues arising from insolvency & bankruptcy and in relation to shareholder disputes and disputes subject to arbitration.
You must have strong prior experience of civil fraud, injunction work and commercial litigation.
Some of the cases the Commercial Litigation Team has acted on include:
- Acting for claimants in proceedings concerning breaches of directors’ duties
- Advice in relation to a dispute concerning a sale of a privately-owned software company
- Finding of corruption in litigation against Bernie Ecclestone concerning the sale of Formula One
- Representation of former owners of Liverpool Football Club in relation to its sale for £300 million.
