Nationally renowned clinical negligence team with a large presence in Reading are looking to extend the department with the hire of an experienced legal secretary.
You will be reporting directly to a much respected clinical negligence solicitor and will have demonstrable experience in assisting on litigated clinical negligence claims.
The team handles a broad range of matters (brain injury, cerebral palsy, birth defects, psychiatric and infectious diseases) concerning clinical negligence claims and the role requires an accurate and enthusiastic legal secretary with a minimum of 12 months' previous medical secretarial or legal secretarial experience.
Duties will include:
- Filing and some typing from digital dictation
- Opening files
- Setting up medical records & documents folders
- "Topping and Tailing" outsourced typing
- Document enclosures for outsourced typing
- Sorting post
- Fee notes
- Collating documents
- Generating bills
- File closures
