You will be working closely with partners and associates in the media team to assist in the on-going high profile phone-hacking litigation and on a number of other media matters. They also have a significant number of cases against high profile organisations. Clients include celebrities and agents and we are steadily receiving a number of new instructions.
The work will focus on document review and organisation, including carrying out searches for articles, reviewing them and helping to prepare bundles for Court hearings. There will also be opportunities to liaise directly with clients and to attend meetings.
This role is likely to appeal to someone who has a proven interest and focus in the area of media litigation and who would enjoy working within a highly profitable, long-established and reputable London firm.
Ideal candidates will have a law degree and experience of working in litigation. Whilst close supervision and support at associate and partner level will be provided, candidates should be able to manage their own time and caseload.
The firm’s working environment is very “hands-on”. The candidate should also have file/time management skills, good client liaison abilities, teamwork skills, be proactive and be able to work under pressure on high profile projects with tight deadlines.
