Although they are a traditional law firm, my client is part of a larger group which has a financial planning and accountancy arm to their offering. Given this unique set up, the law firm is modern minded and dynamic in the way in which it is run, with lots of work coming from internal referrals.
They also typically deal with high net worth clients, so the work is of good quality and often complex in nature.
This role has arisen due to succession planning. Their current Head of Department is due to retire shortly, so they need someone to take the helm. You will, therefore, take over a full caseload from the retiring partner and 80-90% of the work will be traditional residential conveyancing and 20% will be commercial property.
In an ideal world, candidates will have experience in both areas but the firm is open to those coming from an exclusively residential background who they can train on the commercial side.
This is a senior level role so the candidate should have at least 5 years' PQE.
The firm is looking for someone who can take on a leadership role, bringing enthusiasm and fresh ideas. They would like to appoint someone on a full time basis but will consider part time hours too. They are family friendly and working hours can fit around family commitments if needs be.
