A leading regional firm in South Manchester/Cheshire is looking for an experienced contentious probate solicitor (4+ years' PQE) to join their well regarded litigation team.
As a result of the increase in work, the firm's well regarded litigation department is looking to recruit an experienced contentious probate solicitor with at least 4 years' PQE. The Litigation team is expanding and consists of a team of 11, which includes a partner, 3 solicitors and a trainee dealing exclusively with probate litigation matters.
Reporting to the supervising Partner, the successful Senior Contentious Probate Solicitor should be experienced in litigation with a focus on will disputes, estate disputes, trust disputes and Court of Protection disputes.
The firm's litigation department is long-recognised by the Legal 500 granting them “Top Tier” status and the firm is also a member of the MSI Global Alliance of Independent law firms and the UK 200 Group. The Dispute Resolution team is also recognised for its probate litigation work by the Legal 500 and the team are members of the Northern Contentious Probate Group and of ACTAPS.
You must be a qualified contentious probate solicitor (4+ years' PQE) and have experience in handling probate litigation/contentious probate matters (IPFDA claims, will validity challenges, claims for proprietary estoppel and removal of executors).
You will also need to demonstrate an ability to develop high levels of technical skill and strong client relationships. You will have strong academics and likely be working within an established firm.
