This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious and driven Childcare Solicitor to join a well established Legal 500 firm.
The firm have an outstanding reputation for their Childcare work, they have an award winning department who offer an exceptional quality service providing, specialist guidance and advice to clients through a variety of public child care work including child protection issues, child abduction, and special guardianship.
You will ideally be at NQ-3 years' PQE, or perhaps someone who is shortly to become Newly Qualified but who has a good track record experience wise within the field of Childcare law (i.e. at least a full seat recently taken), and you will have been given autonomy during your training contract.
Care work will include Public Child Care work with a future requirement to attain Child Panel accreditation in order to take instructions from guardians and represent children.
The Childcare Solicitor position would suit someone who has the ability to look at primary evidence in order to challenge and formulate a case, cross examine and possess confidence to undertake advocacy work to represent clients at Court.
They should also ideally have excellent computer skills and be highly organised, accurate, and committed to meeting deadlines, and to keeping meticulous records. A paramount element of the role is to be able to work as part of a team and have excellent communication skills as this is a client facing role.
There is potential to progress within the Chesterfield based firm in line with the current succession planning by demonstrating continuous professional development.
You will be expected to have your own transport as the successful Childcare Solicitor would be expected to be willing to attend court matters on a regular basis.
Salary is subject to negotiation based on experience.
