Employment and Immigration Solicitor
An opportunity has arisen for an Employment and Immigration Solicitor with ideally 2-4 years PQE to join the Swindon office of this Legal 100 firm. This is a maternity leave contract and is fixed term for 12 months initially but there may be the potential for this role to become permanent after 12 months.
Please note that there is the potential for the successful candidate to work part time from the Bristol office.
They are offering work which will involve dealing with a mixed caseload of contentious and non contentious issues acting for some claimant but mostly respondent clients. It will also involve giving day to day advice on disciplinary and grievances, managing sickness absence, TUPE transfers and conducting redundancy programmes. In interest of or experience in handling business visas for clients would be an advantage.
Ideal candidates will have previously worked at, or completed their training contracts with, a City practice and hold excellent academic qualifications. It is also advantageous to have some degree of experience of conducting your own advocacy.
